After receiving my bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida in 1999; I began working as a behavior therapist at UCP-Holloway and training under a certified behavior analyst working with families in the home. In 2002 I started working at Thornebrooke Elementary as a Pre-k - 1st grade teacher of students with autism. I spent a wonderful 3 years at Thornebrooke before moving onto Dream Lake Elementary in 2005. My first year at Dream Lake was spent as a pre-k through Kindergarten teacher of students with autism and I spent the two years after as behavior specialist. I finished my Master's degree in Exceptional Student Education with an emphasis in Autism at the University of Central Florida in the spring of 2007. In August of 2008 I moved to West Michigan and currently work for Grand Rapids Public Schools as a Kindergarten-1st grade teacher of students with Autism. I can honestly say I love my job! It is because of the amazing kids I am honored to work with everyday!
